I’m more than excited to share this hidden treasure! John Heinz National Wildlife Refuge, located right outside the city limits, is home to a wide variety of wildlife (most notably, an unbelievable amount of birds). I definitely recommend taking a trip to this preserved site. The walking trials provide much tranquility and a pleasant break from the chaotic Philadelphian lifestyle.
PS. The Refuge is having a community clean-up on Saturday, April 17th from 8am-12pm. A great way to visit the site and lend a helping hand!
