Schuylkill River Trail

Every week I find myself taking advantage of the Schuylkill River Trail, one of many resources Fairmount Park has to offer. Whether you’re fond of running, biking, or walking, this trail allows Philadelphia’s residents to take a break from the bustling city atmosphere. Unfortunately, it seems most people only utilize this resource during the warmer months. In fact, on the most beautiful days, the trail becomes so congested that it’s quite risky (I know Allison & I have both experienced collisions with other exercisers). Either way, I highly encourage you to take advantage of this resource if you haven’t already. At this time of year, the vegetation planted throughout the Park is in full bloom. One of my personal favorites is this tree (though I do not know the name?), which at some points forms a canopy alongside the trail.
